2027: Don’t Underrate Makinde, APM Will Reset Nigeria – Bala Mohammed

Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed, National Leader of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), on Monday cautioned Nigerians not to underestimate the party’s presidential candidate, Seyi Makinde, ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Mohammed made the remarks while inaugurating the APM’s presidential campaign office in Abuja. He declared that the party is determined to reset Nigeria by presenting Makinde as its flagbearer.

“The beauty of having a good party is to have a good leader. The chairman of the party is an erudite young person who is also leading older political parties in Nigeria as the chairman of IPAC,” Mohammed said.

He noted that party chairman Yusuf Nantale had clearly outlined the APM’s agenda, adding that the campaign office was provided solely by the presidential candidate as proof of seriousness.

“Whoever disregards us is at his own peril. We are here to reset Nigeria and we are bringing in one of the best human capitals that Nigeria has ever produced at the sub-national and national level, that is Makinde,” the governor stated.

Mohammed urged Nigerians, particularly other candidates, not to underrate Makinde. He described the Oyo State governor as a mobiliser, an excellent resource manager and an engineer of proven competence.

“Somebody who used little resources and did so much. Where there was abject neglect and abandonment in Oyo State, he brought urban renewal to a level that nobody has ever done it,” Mohammed added.
