The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced that it is carefully studying the results of the governorship election across all 332 wards before deciding on its next course of action.
In a statement issued on Sunday by party spokesperson Kola Olabisi, the APC emphasized that elections are a process that extends beyond voting to include possible tribunal and court proceedings.
“An election cannot be said to have been concluded without having explored all constitutionally allowed legal opportunities as enshrined in the Electoral Act 2026,” Olabisi stated.
The party commended its members and supporters for their loyalty and urged them to remain calm, stressing that any decision would be guided by the rule of law and professional advice from its legal team.
The APC also appealed to the police to protect its members from alleged harassment by opposition supporters, assuring them that the party would not abandon them during this period.
Governor Ademola Adeleke of the Accord Party was declared winner of Saturday’s poll, while APC candidate Bola Oyebamiji finished second.
