Nwabueze Buchi George, national coordinator of the National Brands Development and Made in Nigeria Special Project Office, has shared an appointment letter purportedly issued by the office of the secretary to the government of the federation (SGF).
On Saturday, President Bola Tinubu ordered the arrest of
George over the alleged operation of a fake government agency within the
premises of the SGF office.
The president also ordered the immediate suspension of three
permanent secretaries following findings by the Independent Corrupt Practices
and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC).
Musa Aliyu, ICPC chairman, said the discovery was made
during a broader investigation into the activities of the alleged fake
Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC) and other
procedural weaknesses in government.
Reacting in a post on his LinkedIn page on Saturday, George
shared his purported appointment letter, which bears the OSGF letterhead.
The letter, dated October 3, 2025, with reference no:
OSGF/MIN/59310/11/205, was signed by Nadungu Gagare, designated as permanent
secretary at the political and economic affairs office.
