A United States Congressman, Rep. Riley Moore, has stated that the United States will closely monitor Nigeria’s 2027 general elections, with particular attention to the conduct and outcome of the polls.
Moore made the declaration during an interview on Noire TV on Saturday when asked about the forthcoming Nigerian election and possible US political support.
“We will be paying close attention to Nigeria’s 2027 election,” the congressman said.
He added, “We are certainly going to be watching these results and how these elections will unfold and how they are executed and that is something that myself and my administration will pay very close attention to.”
The statement comes amid heightened political activities and discussions in Nigeria as the country prepares for the 2027 presidential and general elections.
