Two US Soldiers Killed, One Missing After Iran Attacks on JordanTwo American service members have been confirmed dead and another remains missing following ballistic missile and drone strikes launched by Iran on Jordan, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) said on Friday.
According to reports, four other US personnel were medically evacuated to hospitals in Jordan but have since been discharged, while those with minor injuries have returned to duty.Jordan’s military earlier announced that it intercepted 10 Iranian missiles that entered its airspace overnight, preventing damage.
The US military confirmed that it has continued retaliatory strikes against Iran for the seventh consecutive night, after President Donald Trump declared the temporary ceasefire agreement between the two countries “over.”
The latest fatalities bring the total number of US service members killed in the ongoing conflict with Iran to 14.
Previous incidents include the March 1 strike on Kuwait’s Shuaiba Port that killed six army reserve soldiers, an attack in Saudi Arabia that claimed the life of a sergeant, and the March 12 crash of a KC-135 Stratotanker in Iraq that killed six airmen.
The renewed hostilities mark the collapse of the fragile ceasefire, with both sides escalating military actions across the region.
