Nigeria’s Ambassador-designate to Mexico, Reno Omokri, has extended warm birthday wishes to Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, as he marked his 65th birthday on Sunday, July 19, 2026.
In his message, Omokri described Obi as a politician who has helped strengthen democratic participation in Nigeria.
He noted that Obi’s active involvement in politics has sharpened his followers, making them more conscious and engaged in the democratic process.
Quoting scripture, Omokri wrote: “Iron sharpens iron, and you embody that. By being active in the political process, you have helped sharpen your followers, making them more conscious and engaged in the democratic life of Nigeria.”
He prayed for Obi’s continued good health, wisdom, and long life, adding that his family joined in celebrating the former Anambra governor.
Omokri concluded by expressing admiration for Obi’s contributions to participatory democracy and wishing him a fulfilling year ahead.
