The Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced free delivery of Premium Motor Spirit (petrol) to six states, including the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, while maintaining its ex-depot price at ₦1,075 per litre.
In a notice shared on its official X handle Wednesday, the refinery said the free delivery covers Lagos, Ogun, Rivers, Kaduna, Delta, and Abuja, but only applies to customers purchasing a minimum of 250,000 litres.
This move follows recent engagements with downstream petroleum stakeholders, where discussions centered on cost-reflective pricing and further reductions in fuel costs.
The refinery has already cut petrol prices four times, with the latest reduction bringing the gantry price down to ₦1,075 per litre.
Meanwhile, the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) confirmed that retail pump prices have dropped by about ₦125 per litre in the past three weeks, now ranging between ₦1,155 and ₦1,299 depending on location and marketer.
Industry observers say the free delivery initiative could ease logistics costs for marketers and potentially drive further reductions in pump prices nationwide.
