PRP Dismisses Claims Kwankwaso Bought 69 Nomination Forms

The Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) has firmly denied allegations that former Kano State Governor, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, purchased 69 nomination forms in a bid to seize control of the party ahead of the 2027 elections.

The claim was made by Abdulkadir Musa Giza, who introduced himself as chairman of the so-called North-West Stakeholders Forum of the PRP.

He alleged that Kwankwaso had taken over the party’s structure.Speaking to journalists on Monday, PRP National Secretary Alhaji Musa Maigari dismissed the accusation as baseless.

He clarified that Kwankwaso has no official ties to the PRP and did not buy any nomination forms.

“As it stands, all positions in PRP have been filled. Primary elections are over, and every political party has concluded its primaries,” Maigari stated.

He further questioned the credibility of the source, noting that Giza is not a member of the PRP.

According to Maigari, the alleged North-West Stakeholders Forum is not recognized by the party, and there is no record linking Kwankwaso or his associates to the purchase of forms.

Maigari described the timing of the allegation as suspicious, stressing that the PRP has already completed its primaries for the next electoral cycle.

He urged the public to disregard what he called “baseless rumours” and rely only on official party communications.
