The Senior Pastor of Omega Fire Ministries, Apostle Johnson Suleman, has insisted that Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), never staged a protest during the administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan.
Suleman clarified that what took place at the time was a prayer walk directed by the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), not a protest led by Adeboye.
He made the remarks while addressing his congregation in Auchi, Edo State, in a video posted on X, as he responded to critics who accused Adeboye of failing to protest under President Bola Tinubu’s government.
“There are some people attacking Daddy G.O., Pastor Adeboye, claiming that he protested under former President Jonathan but is not protesting under Tinubu.
"He did not protest then; it was the PFN that directed pastors and preachers to embark on a prayer walk. Do you expect a man of 84 years to come out and protest? I am a son of Adeboye, and if he is not speaking out, I am speaking out too,” Suleman said.
The cleric emphasized that Adeboye’s silence should not be mistaken for indifference, stressing that he himself would continue to speak out on national issues in defense of his spiritual father.
