The Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has denied allegations of defamation made against him by former Kano State Governor, Rabiu Kwankwaso.
Kwankwaso had accused the cleric of defaming him in a recent prophecy where Primate Ayodele claimed that Kwankwaso would betray Peter Obi, the former Anambra State Governor, in his presidential ambition.
In a statement issued on Thursday through his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, Primate Ayodele clarified that his prophecy was not intended to defame or malign Kwankwaso’s character. He stressed that he only shared the divine message he received, without any personal grudge against the politician.
“I wish to state clearly that the purpose of my prophecies has never been to defame, malign, or attack anyone’s personality. I only speak based on what I receive from the throne of God,” Ayodele said.
He added that he has never met Senator Kwankwaso and has no personal issues with him. According to the cleric, his prophecies are not influenced by personal relationships, sentiments, or grievances, but are purely divine revelations.
Primate Ayodele noted that the prophecy was greatly misunderstood and misrepresented by those interested in Kwankwaso’s political career. He urged individuals mentioned in his prophecies to seek clarification before reacting or issuing threats.
He also warned against the manipulation of his videos for personal or political agendas, saying appropriate action would be taken against those involved.
