Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, has declared that the government alone cannot shoulder the responsibility of funding and providing quality education for children, calling for stronger collaboration among all stakeholders.
The governor made the remark while inaugurating a new educational facility established by the Christian Academy Management in Ungwan Bulus, Sabon Tasha, Kaduna, at the weekend.
Represented by the Commissioner for Justice and Attorney General of the state, Dr James Kanyip, Governor Sani emphasised that meaningful progress in the education sector can only be achieved through active partnerships involving the government, communities, faith-based organisations, and private institutions.
“The task of educating our children cannot be left to government alone. Meaningful progress requires collaboration among government, communities, faith-based organisations and private institutions,” he said.
Sani reiterated his administration’s commitment to partnering with individuals and organisations dedicated to advancing education, describing investment in young minds as one of the surest ways to secure lasting peace, prosperity, and development.
He described the newly inaugurated facility as “a symbol of hope, opportunity and transformation,” reflecting a collective commitment to strengthening society through education.
“Every classroom built creates opportunities for learning. Every child educated strengthens our communities. Every investment in education contributes to a more prosperous future for our state and nation,” the governor added.
Sani noted that his administration places a high premium on education, having implemented various policies and programmes to improve infrastructure, expand access, and promote quality learning across Kaduna State.
He commended the Christian Academy Management for its significant contribution, describing the project as a demonstration that education is both a social responsibility and a strategic investment in human capital development.
The governor expressed confidence that the facility would serve as a centre for learning, character formation, and leadership development, producing productive citizens and future leaders
