Tinubu’s Daughter Threatens Protest Over Lagos APC Primaries

Mrs Folashade Tinubu-Ojo, daughter of President Bola Tinubu and Iyaloja-General of Nigeria, has threatened to lead a protest over the outcome of the All Progressives Congress (APC) primaries in Lagos State, alleging that the process was manipulated in favour of the party’s Justice Forum bloc.

Tinubu-Ojo made the threat on Wednesday during the weekly meeting of market leaders and stakeholders at her office in Alausa, Ikeja.

She specifically disputed the results released by the Lagos APC for Mushin Federal Constituency 2, Agege Constituency 2, and Ojokoro constituencies.

The Lagos State APC had on Monday published the list of candidates who emerged victorious in the House of Representatives and State House of Assembly primaries ahead of the 2027 general elections. The list was signed by the state Chairman, Cornelius Ojelabi.

She named candidates including Hon. Seye Oladejo (Mushin Federal Constituency 2), Mutiu Olaide Oladeebo (Agege 2), and Olotu Ojo (Ojokoro), insisting they won their respective primaries and their mandates should not be altered.

“We are ready to protest because of Seye Oladejo of Mushin Federal Constituency 02, Mutiu Olaide Oladeebo of Agege 2 constituency, Olotu Ojo of Ojokoro constituency, because we know they won this election. Their mandate should not be given to somebody else,” she said.

Tinubu-Ojo called on APC leaders at both state and national levels to urgently investigate the disputed primaries before the final ratification of results.

She warned that failure to address the grievances could deepen divisions within the party ahead of the 2027 elections.

She also criticised the ongoing factional battles between the Justice Forum and Mandate Group, urging the dissolution of both structures. “We have to cry out now. Let APC cancel Justice and Mandate Forums. We are one family,” she added.

The development highlights growing tensions within the Lagos APC as the party prepares for the next general elections.
