Presidential aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Stanley Osifo, has said President Bola Tinubu will work with him if he defeats him at the party’s presidential primary.
Osifo, who is challenging the incumbent President for the APC ticket ahead of the 2027 election, stated that there is mutual understanding among party members and that the contest is healthy.
“If I defeat him, he will work with me, and if he wins, I will support and work with him. We are one party, and I strongly believe there is mutual understanding among us as APC members,” Osifo said.
He added that President Tinubu’s incumbency guarantees nothing, insisting that only the outcome on election day at the primary will determine the party’s candidate.
Osifo maintained that he remains committed to his ambition despite widespread endorsements for Tinubu’s second-term bid, stressing the need for internal democracy within the APC.
He has already purchased the party’s expression of interest and nomination forms.
