The Lagos State Government has rolled out dedicated security tip lines to enable residents to easily report security threats and share credible intelligence via text messages, photographs, and videos.
The initiative was announced on Thursday, May 7, 2026, by the Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF) as part of ongoing efforts to boost intelligence gathering and enhance public participation in security matters across the state.
Details of the new platform were shared on X by Ridwan Ajetunmobi, Senior Special Assistant on Media to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
According to the statement, the platform aims to address evolving security challenges by expanding channels for residents to relay timely and actionable information to security agencies.
“To adapt to evolving security challenges, the Lagos State Government has strengthened its intelligence gathering efforts, broadening public access to reporting security concerns in their neighbourhoods,” the statement read.
The new Security Tip Lines are strictly messaging-based and do not support voice calls. Residents can submit text messages, photos, and video recordings of security-related incidents in their communities.
The designated lines are:
0911 019 5555
0916 201 1179
The LSSTF noted that the initiative is designed to foster stronger collaboration between residents and government agencies, while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in handling reports.
By leveraging technology and community vigilance, the government hopes to improve situational awareness and enable faster response by security operatives. Residents are encouraged to make use of the platform to contribute to a safer Lagos.
