Group Storm Goodluck Jonathan’s Abuja Office, Urge Him to Run for 2027 Presidency

Former President Goodluck Jonathan has come under intense pressure to contest the 2027 presidential election after a large group marched to his Abuja office on Thursday with thousands of supporters.

The protesters, chanting and carrying placards, stormed the former president’s residence in the capital, demanding that he immediately pick up a nomination form and throw his hat into the ring for the next general election.

The group presented what it called a “massive grassroots mandate,” insisting that Jonathan remains the best candidate to lead the country amid current national challenges. They praised his experience, integrity, and widespread acceptance across Nigeria.

Jonathan, who listened attentively to the delegation, is expected to give a formal response to their demand in the coming days.

The development has reignited intense speculation about the former president’s possible return to active politics ahead of the 2027 polls.
