The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has formally welcomed Senator Mohammed Hassan, popularly known as Dambu, into its fold.
Announcing the development, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso (RMK) described Senator Hassan as a seasoned grassroots mobiliser and outstanding legislator who distinguished himself as an exceptional performer during his time representing Yobe South in the Senate.
In a statement, Kwankwaso said it was a pleasure to formally receive the senator into the NDC during a productive meeting held on Wednesday at the residence of Senator Seriake Dickson in Abuja.
Senator Hassan’s defection to the NDC adds to the growing number of prominent politicians joining the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.
