The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has directed public universities to conclude their admission processes for the 2026/2027 academic session by the end of October.
According to JAMB, public universities must complete all admissions by October 31, while private universities have until November 30. Other institutions such as polytechnics and colleges of education are expected to wrap up by December 31.
The directive, which aims to ensure timely commencement of the academic calendar, was issued following JAMB’s admission policy meeting.
Institutions have been urged to strictly adhere to the deadlines and finalize all processes on the Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) within the stipulated timelines.
JAMB warned that admissions conducted outside the approved guidelines and after the deadlines would not be recognized.
