Primate Elijah Ayodele, the leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has claimed that key international players will align with Nigeria’s opposition parties to prevent President Bola Tinubu from securing re-election in 2027.
In a statement released on Tuesday through his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, the prominent cleric asserted that while President Tinubu possesses the domestic strength and resources to defeat opposition candidates, foreign interference could prove to be his greatest challenge.
“The international community will not support Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027,” Ayodele stated.
“The president has all it takes to win the election, but the international community will be a major obstacle to his victory.”
He specifically named the United States, United Kingdom, and the European Union as entities reportedly prepared to work with opposition forces to remove Tinubu from power.
The spiritual leader further advised that any serious challenge to Tinubu would require a radical approach, warning that the president is fully prepared to confront any obstacles to his re-election.
“Tinubu is ready for anything to win the election. It will not be business as usual because he is ready to fight anyone or anything that wants to stop him from winning,” Ayodele said.
He urged opposition parties to prepare adequately, noting that the contest will be fiercely contested.
Additionally, Primate Ayodele reiterated his earlier position that a fragmented opposition stands little chance against the ruling party.
He called for unity among opposition groups if they genuinely aim to unseat the president.“If the opposition wants to go into the election divided, they should forget about winning the election.
"A divided opposition stands no chance against Tinubu. They should all come together if they are after removing Tinubu from power,” he added.
This latest prophecy from the cleric adds to the growing political discourse surrounding the 2027 general elections, as various stakeholders position themselves ahead of the polls.
