Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has issued a strong warning to his former political mentor, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, telling him to stop referring to him as a “boy”.
In a viral video clip, Governor Yusuf declared “enough is enough,” saying he would no longer tolerate the description from the 69-year-old Kwankwaso, who is six years older than him.
“Tell them, that they are talking too much, enough is enough. If they don’t stop, I will open my mouth and it will smell like hell,” the governor said.
He added: “I wonder why a 69-year-old person will continuously be calling a 63-year-old a boy. This is unacceptable.”
Yusuf, who recently defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC), had previously avoided speaking against Kwankwaso despite ongoing tensions.
However, the latest outburst signals rising political rivalry between the two heavyweights in Kano State politics ahead of future elections.
