Kaumi Zulum, brother of Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum, has emerged as the winner of the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary for the Dikwa/Konduga/Mafa Federal Constituency in Borno State.
The Returning Officer and Chairman of the Primary Election Committee, Prophet Jones Erue, announced at a news conference on Sunday in Maiduguri that Kaumi Zulum won the ticket unopposed.
Erue also declared winners in several other federal constituencies, including:
Fati Alkali-Mobbar/Guzamala/Abadam/Kukawa Federal Constituency
Usman Zana — Magumeri/Kaga/Gubio Federal Constituency
Ahmed Jaha — Gwoza/Chibok/Damboa Federal Constituency
Satomi Ahmed — Jere Federal Constituency
Abdulkadir Rahis — Maiduguri Metropolitan Council Federal Constituency (38,576 votes)
Mustapha Abdullahi — Bama/Ngala/Kala-Balge Federal Constituency (20,509 votes)
The primary for the Askira/Uba/Hawul Federal Constituency was, however, declared inconclusive following a complaint by one of the aspirants.
Erue commended the peaceful, transparent, and orderly conduct of the primaries across nine out of the 10 federal constituencies in Borno State, noting that most candidates emerged through consensus and affirmation.
The successful candidates will now fly the APC flag in the 2027 general elections.
