Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, on Thursday received the Minister of Defence, General Christopher Gwabin Musa (Rtd), during a visit to the Government House in Uyo.
Governor Eno thanked the minister for his remarks on the state’s progress, noting that the Defence Minister recognized Akwa Ibom’s peace, development, and people-focused governance under the ARISE Agenda.
“Akwa Ibom remains peaceful because we have continued to prioritize the welfare of our people while working closely with security agencies,” Eno said.
The governor commended General Musa for his service to the nation and reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to supporting all security formations operating in Akwa Ibom.
“We will continue to build a safer, stronger, and more prosperous Akwa Ibom,” he added.
General Musa’s visit to the state is part of ongoing engagements with state governments on security collaboration and national stability.
