Troops of Operation FANSAN YANMA have neutralised at least 65 bandits in a coordinated ground and air offensive in Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
Among those killed was Kachalla Iliya Sarki, a notorious and feared bandit kingpin who operated as a key commander in the network of his father, wanted bandit leader Ado Allero.
Other lieutenants eliminated in the operation include Dogo Sule and Iliya Mai Rasha.
Security sources described Iliya Sarki as one of the most vicious bandit commanders in the North-West, linked to numerous attacks, kidnappings, and cattle rustling operations across Zamfara and Katsina states.
The military operation has been hailed as a significant success that is expected to disrupt the command structure and operations of Ado Allero’s group in the region.
