Six passengers lost their lives while 12 others sustained injuries in a serious road crash along the Okolowo–Jebba expressway in Kwara State.
The accident occurred around 6 am on Thursday near the Danjuma Bakery area. It involved a Toyota Hummer bus traveling from Lagos to Katsina, which rammed into a stationary truck.
Security analyst Zagazola Makama, who shared the report on X, stated that the impact killed six people on the spot and left 12 others with varying degrees of injuries.
The injured victims were rushed to the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital in Oke-Oyi for treatment, while the bodies of the deceased were deposited at the hospital morgue
The truck driver has been identified as Kamarudeen Abdullahi from Jos North Local Government Area in Plateau State.
Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the crash.
