Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have arrested a pastor and his wife after recovering 11 kilograms of skunk hidden in concealed compartments of their vehicle at the Seme border area in Lagos State.
The suspects are Pastor Afolabi Hodonu, 45, who leads the Celestial Church of Christ at Agonvi Sea Beach in the Sakpo area of Seme border, Badagry, and his 35-year-old wife, Success Hodonu.
They were apprehended on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at the Gbaji checkpoint.
NDLEA Director of Media and Advocacy, Femi Babafemi, disclosed in a statement on Sunday that a search of the couple’s Honda Pilot SUV led to the discovery of blocks of skunk weighing 11kg, carefully concealed in modified hidden parts of the vehicle.
The arrest forms part of NDLEA’s ongoing nationwide operations targeting drug trafficking.
The suspects are currently in custody and will be prosecuted in court.
