A former Senior Special Assistant to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Citizenship and Leadership, Nasir Bala Ja’oji (popularly known as Ja’oji), has formally declared his intention to contest the Tarauni Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives in the 2027 general elections.
Ja’oji made the declaration on Saturday during a grand reception and procession organised in his honour by supporters in Kano State.
He recently resigned from his position as presidential aide following persistent calls from thousands of constituents across Tarauni and other parts of the state urging him to run for the office.
The former aide, who hails from Tarauni Federal Constituency in Kano, said he yielded to the overwhelming pressure from his people who see him as capable of providing quality representation at the National Assembly.
He assured that if elected, he would focus on delivering effective legislation, attracting development projects to the constituency, and promoting policies aligned with President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
The declaration adds to the growing list of political aspirants already positioning themselves ahead of the 2027 polls, as the race for legislative seats intensifies within the All Progressives Congress (APC) and other parties.
