Leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has predicted that a united opposition alliance can seriously challenge President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.
Primate Ayodele, however, warned that not all members of the alliance will remain committed until the end.
“If they are united till the end, they can shake Tinubu. The president will feel the heat if they are totally united; that’s the only thing that can give the project success,” he said.
The cleric made the prophecy during a recent church service, amid ongoing efforts by opposition parties to form a formidable coalition against the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and President Tinubu’s re-election bid.
His comment comes shortly after opposition parties, at a summit in Ibadan, resolved to field a single presidential candidate for the 2027 polls.
Primate Ayodele has in the past made similar predictions, including the possibility of a Goodluck Jonathan-Rabiu Kwankwaso ticket posing a strong threat to the APC.
