The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has commenced a nationwide digital membership registration exercise starting today, Monday, March 2, 2026.
This three-week drive, approved by the National Working Committee under Chairman Kabiru Tanimu Turaki (SAN), aims to build a comprehensive digital membership register as required by the Electoral Act 2026 for submission to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) by April 2, 2026.
According to a statement from National Publicity Secretary Ini Ememobong, the initiative seeks to expand the party's support base, strengthen grassroots structures, and recruit new members across Nigeria's 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Registration occurs daily (except Sundays) at all PDP ward, chapter, and state offices, with special cases handled at the National Secretariat. A dedicated committee led by National Organising Secretary Hon. Theophilus Daka Shan will oversee the process.
The PDP urged existing members and interested Nigerians to visit their nearest party office to register.
