Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has issued a stark threat to assassinate Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, vowing to "pursue and kill" him "with full force" if he remains alive.
The statement was published on Sepah News, the official outlet of the IRGC, amid the ongoing war involving Iran, Israel, and the United States, now in its 16th day.
"If this child-killing criminal is alive, we will continue to pursue and kill him with full force," the Guards declared, referring to Netanyahu in highly inflammatory terms.
The vow follows widespread rumors circulating on social media questioning Netanyahu's whereabouts and speculating about a possible assassination or disappearance.
Israel's Prime Minister's office has dismissed such claims as "fake news," insisting that Netanyahu is fine and actively leading the country's response.
The threat comes against the backdrop of intensified hostilities: The conflict escalated after U.S.-Israeli strikes on February 28, 2026, which reportedly killed Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, prompting Iranian retaliation and a broader regional war.
In parallel developments, Iranian authorities have conducted sweeping internal raids, arresting hundreds of individuals suspected of collaborating with Israel and the United States.
These include at least 20 people in West Azerbaijan province accused of transmitting sensitive military and security information to Israel, according to provincial prosecutor Hossein Majidi and reports from Fars news agency.
The IRGC's public pledge underscores the deepening personal and strategic animosity between Tehran and Jerusalem, with Netanyahu remaining a prime symbolic target for Iranian forces as the multi-front conflict shows no signs of abating.
No immediate response from Israeli officials to the latest IRGC statement has been reported, though tensions continue to drive global concerns over potential further escalation in the Middle East.
