Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has firmly defended his unwavering support for President Bola Tinubu, declaring that he owes no apologies to anyone for his stance.
Speaking amid discussions on his political alignments, Wike explained that as a serving minister, his party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), never consulted him regarding candidates fielded in the FCT elections.
He noted that the only aspirants who approached him were those openly supporting President Tinubu's agenda."I supported only those backing President Tinubu's reelection," Wike stated. He further described contesting elections under the PDP as a significant risk, citing ongoing uncertainty in the party's leadership.
Wike's comments reflets his prioritization of loyalty to the President's vision over strict party lines, a position he has consistently maintained since assuming his role in the Tinubu administration.
