Ondo State Governor, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has relieved all his political aides of their appointments with immediate effect.
The affected officials include all Senior Special Assistants (SSAs) and Special Assistants (SAs) to the governor.
A statement issued on Monday by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Ebenezer Adeniyan, said the decision was taken as part of ongoing efforts to enhance efficiency and deepen service delivery in the administration.
The statement added that the governor is set to appoint about 1,000 new aides as part of a major restructuring aimed at repositioning the government for improved performance and better governance outcomes.
Governor Aiyedatiwa urged the outgoing aides to remain committed to the development of Ondo State even after leaving office.
The development has sparked reactions across the state, with many viewing it as a strategic move to inject fresh ideas and strengthen the machinery of government ahead of future political activities.
