President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reaffirmed his administration's commitment to sustaining economic reforms while promising greater inclusion and empowerment for all Nigerians.
The pledge was made during a one-day official visit to Yola, Adamawa State, on Monday, where the President commissioned several major projects delivered by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri's administration.
The inaugurated projects include an eight-lane road with underpass to enhance mobility and commerce, a remodelled High Court complex for improved justice delivery, and a model school to expand access to quality education.
Governor Fintiri also highlighted other achievements such as 21 model schools across the state (N24.8 billion), the expanded Galadima Aminu Road with overhead bridge and underpass (N15.6 billion), High Court remodelling (N5.5 billion), and a new Government House office complex (N6.3 billion).
Tinubu commended Governor Fintiri for his prudent management and impactful interventions, describing the developments as evidence of "a government of the people, by the people and for the people."
He specifically praised investments in education and infrastructure, noting visible progress in human capital development.
The President credited federal reforms for increased state allocations, enabling more infrastructure and social projects nationwide.
He called for intensified efforts to combat poverty through education and youth empowerment, while thanking traditional and religious leaders for fostering peace amid economic transitions.
In a notable highlight, Tinubu lauded National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, an indigene of Adamawa for his "honest, bold, courageous, and committed" leadership in the fight against terrorism and banditry.
"You are doing an excellent job, and we are seeing the results. With you, we will defeat the bandits and terrorists," Tinubu declared.
Emphasizing federal-state synergy, the President stressed continued investments in agriculture and human capital to achieve food security and self-sufficiency.
Governor Fintiri expressed appreciation for the visit and pledged continued support for federal policies, attributing state-level successes to the enabling environment created by bold federalism.
The visit reinforces stronger federal-state collaboration in Adamawa, focusing on development, security, and sustained reforms for citizens' benefit.
