The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has officially declared Daniel Nuhu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the winner of the Kwali Area Council chairmanship election in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Nuhu polled a total of 17,032 votes, securing victory in the majority of the wards during the election held on Saturday, February 21, 2026.He defeated his closest rival, Haruna Pai of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who received 8,575 votes.
The results were announced by the INEC presiding officer at the final collation centre in Kwali on Sunday morning.
This victory marks another gain for the APC in the ongoing FCT Area Council elections, contributing to their lead in several councils as collation continues for the remaining areas.
