Human rights lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, has dismissed allegations levelled against the National Security Adviser, NSA, Nuhu Ribadu, by a former governor of Kaduna State.
El-Rufai, in a letter addressed to the NSA’s office on
Sunday, inquired about why the office allegedly imported a highly poisonous
substance, thallium sulphate, from Poland into the country.
Although the NSA has yet to react to the allegation, the
development has generated mixed reactions.
While members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC)
have bluntly rejected the claim, opposition figures have called for an
immediate probe.
Reacting, Deji, in a post on X, said that although there is
a possibility that the office imported the substance, El-Rufai cannot be
trusted, describing the former governor as an unrepentant liar.
He wrote: “It is possible the NSA’s office imported toxic
materials into the country, but because it is coming from El-Rufai, I consider
it a lie and his usual propaganda.
“El-Rufai is an unrepentant liar, a bigot, and a person
without shame. He once said GEJ had a sniper list of critics.”
