City Boys Movement Appoints Soludo's Daughter as Anambra Women's Leader

Adaora Soludo, daughter of Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo, has been appointed as the state women's leader of the City Boys Movement, a political support group for President Bola Tinubu.

The appointment was confirmed by Daniel Ezeigwe, a media aide to the governor, who stated that Adaora will lead and coordinate the women's wing of the movement in Anambra State.

"Anambra State Media Director of City Boy Movement has confirmed the appointment of Adaora Soludo as the state women’s leader of President Bola Tinubu’s political support group, ‘City Boy Movement’.

She was appointed to lead the women’s wing of the movement in the state. It is now authentic,” Ezeigwe said.

The City Boys Movement, founded in 2022 and linked to the All Progressives Congress (APC), describes itself as a civic platform aimed at promoting democratic participation, national cohesion, and issue-based dialogue.

It includes diverse members such as traders, artisans, students, farmers, professionals, entrepreneurs, and business leaders.

The group has rejected claims of elitism, emphasizing that its membership reflects broad civic responsibility rather than wealth or status.

The term “City Boy,” often associated with President Tinubu, represents resilience, bold thinking, and transformative leadership, which guides the movement's ethos.

The appointment follows a recent visit to Governor Soludo at the Government House (Light House) in Awka by Obinna Iyiegbu (popularly known as Obi Cubana), the South-East leader of the movement, along with other members.

The development is seen as a strategic move to strengthen Tinubu's support base in Anambra State ahead of future political activities.
