Kaduna People Ready to Re-elect Tinubu – Governor Uba Sani

Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani has declared unwavering support and loyalty from the people of Kaduna for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election in 2027, attributing the pledge to the significant dividends of democracy delivered by the President to the state and the nation.

Speaking during a stakeholders’ engagement on the ongoing nationwide e-registration of All Progressives Congress (APC) members, Governor Sani highlighted numerous federal projects and interventions attracted to Kaduna State under President Tinubu’s leadership.

The governor revealed that Kaduna State is targeting 2.5 million registered members in the current APC e-registration exercise, describing the party as now dominant in the state.

He credited his administration’s inclusive development approach, spreading projects evenly across all zones, combined with President Tinubu’s support, for triggering massive defections from opposition parties to the APC.

Among the key federal interventions cited, Sani pointed to the N1 billion support provided by President Tinubu for the Kaduna State Light Rail project, describing it as unprecedented in northern Nigeria and unmatched by any other subnational government outside Lagos State.

He also disclosed that, at the instance of President Tinubu, he recently visited China alongside the Director General of the Nigeria-China Strategic Partnership to advance a major poultry project for which Kaduna State has been selected as the pilot.

The Federal Government has approved $200 million for the initiative, set to generate at least 350,000 jobs and become the largest poultry project in Sub-Saharan Africa, with groundbreaking scheduled in the next three weeks.

The governor noted that the poultry project would additionally support around 10,000 direct and indirect small businesses, particularly small and medium-scale enterprises linked to poultry farming.

Governor Sani further thanked President Tinubu for approving the construction of the critical Mando to Birnin Gwari road and the reconstruction of the Kwoi to Jama’a road.

He acknowledged the contributions of other federal figures from Kaduna State, including Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajuddeen Abbas, who has facilitated several projects for Zone 1 (northern senatorial district) in the current budget, describing the Speaker’s presence as a blessing that has benefited the zone more than any other.

The governor also praised the Minister of Environment, Malam Balarabe Abbas Lawal, for his pivotal role in securing major ACRESAL projects addressing erosion and climate issues, with groundbreaking for initiatives worth about N53 billion in Zaria and Rigasa expected in the next one or two months.

Governor Sani concluded that, thanks to the combined efforts of the state government and federal support attracted by President Tinubu, Kaduna State is well-positioned to lead in the APC e-registration drive and remains solidly behind the President for re-election.

The engagements saw the governor meet with stakeholders from all three senatorial zones, Zone 2 (Kaduna North, Kaduna South, Chikun, Kajuru, Igabi, Birnin Gwari, and Giwa) on Saturday, Zone 1 (Zaria, Sabon Gari, Soba, Makarfi, Kubau, Kudan, Ikara, and Lere) on Sunday, and Zone 3 (southern Kaduna districts including Zangon Kataf, Kachia, Jaba, Jema’a, Kaura, Kagarko, and Sanga) to mobilize support for the party and the President.
