Nigeria's Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, held a key meeting with Ghana's President, H.E. John Dramani Mahama, to deliver a special message from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The visit comes as Ghana prepares to host the High-Level Consultative Conference on Regional Cooperation and Security. Ambassador Ojukwu will lead Nigeria's delegation to the important summit.
The conference is designed to strengthen sub-regional collaboration across West Africa and the Sahel. It emphasizes rebuilding ties in critical sectors to build greater resilience, tackle underlying causes of instability, and create stronger preventive measures against violent extremism, terrorism, and transnational organized crime.
This engagement reinforces the close diplomatic partnership between Nigeria and Ghana within the ECOWAS framework, as both countries collaborate to promote peace, security, and economic integration in the region.
The High-Level Consultative Conference in Accra will gather senior officials, intelligence leaders, and security experts to develop joint strategies for conflict prevention and long-term regional stability.
