The All Progressives Congress (APC) has extended its electronic membership registration exercise and rescheduled key party events following decisions by its National Working Committee (NWC).
Felix Morka, National Publicity Secretary of the APC, announced the changes after the NWC's 183rd meeting held Friday at the party's National Secretariat in Abuja.
The electronic membership registration, initially set to end on January 31, 2026, has now been extended to February 8, 2026. The extension responds to requests from party stakeholders, allowing more time for supporters and members to register or validate their details digitally.
Ward congresses have been moved to Wednesday, February 18, 2026.The national convention is rescheduled for March 27–28, 2026. Osun State, Ekiti State, and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) are excluded from the congress schedule due to upcoming elections in those areas.
Rivers State is also exempted because the current executive committees there still hold tenure.The NWC has constituted the National Convention Planning Committee to handle preparations.
The party stated that further details on the updated timetable, schedule of activities, and committee composition will be released soon.
