Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde, is scheduled to sign the 2026 Appropriation Bill, valued at approximately N892 billion, into law on Monday, December 22, 2025.
The signing ceremony will take place at 10:30 a.m. in the Executive Council Chambers of the Governor’s Office in Ibadan.
It follows the Oyo State House of Assembly's passage of the bill last week after thorough review and minor adjustments to the original proposal.Governor Makinde initially presented the Budget of Economic Expansion on November 24, 2025, with an estimate of ₦891.985 billion.
The Assembly increased it slightly to N892 billion by reallocating funds, including transferring N2 billion from overhead costs to capital expenditure to prioritise infrastructure development.
