FCT Police Raid Criminal Hideouts, Arrest 61 Suspects in Abuja


The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has apprehended 61 suspects in a series of coordinated raids on criminal black spots and hideouts across Abuja.


According to reports, the operations commenced around 11:20 p.m. on December 15, involving operatives from multiple divisions including Karmo, Apo, Wuse, Central Police Station, Kurudu, Jikwoyi, Katampe, Kubwa, Maitama, Mpape, Gwagwalada, Mabushi, and Utako.


The raids targeted identified hotspots and uncompleted buildings, resulting in the recovery of quantities of dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp and other illicit substances.


All suspects are currently in custody at their respective divisions for screening and investigation. 


Those found culpable will be charged to court.Police sources emphasized that the command will maintain proactive measures to eliminate criminal elements and enhance public safety in the FCT.
