The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on Thursday, 11 December 2025, dragged the National Commandant of the Nigerian Peace Corps, Dickson Akoh, and its Director of Finance, Omolola Aminat Ahmed, before Justice H. B. Yusuf of the FCT High Court, Abuja, over alleged misappropriation of ₦60 million public funds.
The duo were slammed with a two-count charge of criminal conspiracy and dishonest conversion of funds meant for the supply of official badges.
One of the counts alleges that in 2024, Akoh and Ahmed “dishonestly converted to your personal use” ₦46 million out of ₦60 million released for the badge contract.Both defendants pleaded not guilty when the charges were read.
Prosecution counsel, Khalid Sanusi, urged the court to fix a date for trial to commence.
Justice Yusuf granted each defendant bail in the sum of ₦5 million with one surety in like sum. The sureties must be reputable persons resident within Abuja.The case was adjourned to 25 February 2026 for trial.
