Actress Doris Ogala Arrested During Facebook Live Amid Feud with Pastor Chris Okafor

Controversial Nollywood actress Doris Ogala was reportedly arrested by police at her home on Saturday, December 20, 2025, while participating in a Facebook Live session, in a dramatic escalation of her ongoing public dispute with Pastor Chris Okafor, founder of the Mountain of Liberation and Miracle Ministry (also known as Grace Nation).

During the livestream, Ogala confirmed to her interviewer that officers had entered her residence, responding affirmatively when asked, “The police are in your house?” The session abruptly ended shortly after, with reports indicating she was taken into custody.

The arrest follows days after Ogala publicly accused Pastor Okafor of serious misconduct and called on the Department of State Services (DSS) to investigate claims that something was buried beneath his church’s altar.

She alleged that during the church's construction, part of the building collapsed, resulting in a fatality, and that a blogger later discovered suspicious items on the site, prompting the pastor to seek her advice on silencing the matter.

Ogala has been embroiled in a bitter feud with Okafor since early December, claiming a long-term romantic relationship since 2017, during which he allegedly promised marriage, only to wed another woman, Pearl, earlier in the week.

She has demanded ₦1 billion in damages for breach of promise to marry, emotional distress, and reputational harm, while sharing private photos and threatening to release more content.

Comedian Dee-One announced the arrest on social media, stating that Ogala's allegations "did not add up" and that she would now "defend her story in court."

Neither Ogala's representatives nor Pastor Okafor have issued fresh statements on the arrest, though the pastor's camp has previously dismissed related rumors as false.

The incident has sparked widespread reactions online, with opinions divided between support for Ogala and calls for caution amid the unverified claims. Police have not officially confirmed the reason for the arrest.
