The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Air Component of Operation FANSAN YAMMA has demolished a major bandit stronghold in Zamfara State through precision airstrikes on November 14, 2025.
The operation targeted the Sauri bandit camp in Tsafe Local Government Area, where terrorists had fortified a high-ground position to store rustled livestock and coordinate logistics.
According to NAF Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, intelligence and surveillance confirmed heavy terrorist activity before the strikes.
Multiple coordinated air attacks scored direct hits, neutralizing the hideout and pursuing fleeing bandits into nearby vegetation, where they were tracked and eliminated.
The success highlights the Joint Task Force's commitment to eradicating terrorist safe havens and restoring peace across Northwest Nigeria.
