Armed Robbers Kill Three Security Operatives in Nasarawa Ambush


Suspected armed robbers on Wednesday ambushed a joint security patrol along the Idadu–Agbashi road in Doma Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, killing three operatives in a deadly attack.


The victims were identified as Police Inspector Christopher Enoh and two local vigilante members, Mathew John and Augustine Yusuf, all from Agbashi town.


According to security sources, the patrol team was conducting routine operations when the gunmen launched a surprise attack, opening fire and killing the three personnel instantly.


The assailants fled the scene with an AK-47 rifle and 30 rounds of ammunition belonging to the slain inspector.


The bodies of the deceased have been deposited at the Agbashi General Hospital mortuary for autopsy and preservation.


Security agencies have launched a manhunt for the perpetrators and are working to recover the stolen firearm.Authorities have urged residents to remain vigilant and report suspicious movements as efforts continue to restore calm in the area.
