Former Delta State Governor and Senator Ifeanyi Okowa has praised President Bola Tinubu for fostering stability and renewed hope in Nigeria, describing him as an “action president” committed to transformative governance.
Speaking through his former aide, Pascal Adigwe, at the Integrity Group of Nigeria (IGN) summit in Abuja on August 18, 2025, themed “Renew Hope Agenda through Continuity,” Okowa highlighted Tinubu’s bold policies, which he said are yielding positive results despite their challenges.
“Tinubu’s decisions might be tough, but they are yielding positive results,” Okowa stated.
“He’s bringing stability, taking the bull by the horns, and fulfilling his promise to take responsibility for Nigeria’s governance without dwelling on past administrations.”
Okowa also expressed support for Tinubu’s potential 2027 re-election bid, encouraging grassroots mobilization and offering his experience and resources to strengthen the president’s agenda.
IGN Convener Dr. Oke Idawene echoed Okowa’s sentiments, emphasizing Tinubu’s preparedness to lead and warning against entrusting Nigeria’s future to those who undermine its prosperity.
He cited advancements in student loan access and national security as key achievements. Senator Binta Garba praised Tinubu’s efforts to improve Nigeria’s trajectory and expressed optimism about the continuation of the Renewed Hope Initiative.
Former Minister Pauline Tallen urged Nigerians to rally behind Tinubu, pointing to recent APC by-election victories and international successes by Nigerian girls in sports. Prof. Nora Daduut, Pro-Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology, Akure, commended the summit and called on women to champion the Renewed Hope message.
