APC defeats PDP at the two polling units located within the Presidential Villa

The All Progressive Congress candidate for the House of Representatives has defeated the Peoples Democratic Candidate at the two polling units located within the precincts of the Presidential Villa.

In the polling Unit 021, the APC candidate polled 255 votes while the PDP candidate polled 254 votes.

In the second polling unit 022, the APC candidate got 334 votes while the PDP candidate came second with 241 votes.

Similarly in the Senatorial election, the APC scored 260 votes at PU 021 and 337 at PU 022 as against PDP’s 286 and 281 respectively.

In the House of Representatives election results for the same units, APC scored 255 votes at PU 021 and 334 votes at PU 22. The PDP got 254 votes at PU 021 and 241 votes at PU 022.

Mr. Jonathan won the two polling units in 2011.

The president does not vote in any of the two locations, but most of those who do are believed to be his aides, presidential villa staff and loyalists.

Defeat in those polling units does not necessarily translate to Mr. Jonathan losing the election.
