All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain Joe Igbokwe has expressed confidence that President Bola Tinubu will secure victory in the 2027 presidential election through the goodwill of Nigerians rather than electoral manipulation.
In a Facebook post on Tuesday, Igbokwe stated that Tinubu, the APC presidential candidate, would not need to rig the polls to win.“PBAT will not win the 2027 elections by rigging. It is not in the cards. He will win the elections by good will,” he wrote. He added that positive actions eventually receive their reward: “Every good thing you do has a reward some day. There is always a payday for good people God has used to touch lives. PBAT fits in.”
Igbokwe’s comments come amid growing political tension and warnings from some opposition figures against any attempt to manipulate the 2027 general elections.
The remarks also follow recent controversy generated by former Deputy Senate President Ovie Omo-Agege, who stated that anyone who tries to rig the forthcoming election could die—a comment that drew criticism from members of the ruling APC.
