The Edo North Senator, Adams Oshiomhole, on Friday asked Nigerians not to allow people with no political future, like the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, presidential candidate, Peter Obi, to deceive them about violence.
Oshiomhole said Nigerians should not allow such people to
harass them because the All Progressives Congress, APC, believes in peace and
not violence.
He spoke in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital, during
President Bola Tinubu's presidential campaign rally.
According to Oshiomhole: "I just want you to ask Peter
Obi when he comes here next; he will try to make excuses that somebody is
harassing him, but please don't allow people with no political future, because
if a man is already sick and you touch him, you could be paying for his death.
"Nobody in the APC needs anything more than the ballot
paper, ink, one man, one vote, one woman, one vote. We don't need any violence.
I can see that they are trying to twist the situation into thinking that we are
looking for violence; we are a party of peace."
