Bandits have killed 13 members of a family after locking them inside a room and setting their house on fire in Gidan Taba community, Maradun Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
The victims, identified as Sani Ɗanwawo and his 12 family members, were burnt to death during the attack on Saturday night.Conflict reporter Bakatsine, who covers North-West Nigeria, reported the incident in a post on X on Sunday.
He said the attackers locked all 13 occupants inside a room before setting the house ablaze, leaving no survivors.He described the attack as another tragic incident targeting innocent residents in Zamfara State.
The latest assault adds to the ongoing wave of deadly banditry in Nigeria’s North-West, where armed groups continue to terrorise rural communities, killing residents and abducting others.
