Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media to the FCT Minister, Lere Olayinka, on Tuesday asked if the African Democratic Congress, ADC, presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, is still contesting for the presidency.
Olayinka made the remark while describing Atiku as
"Wole Wole Kachalla," ahead of the January 16, 2027 presidential
election.
Posting on X, the minister's spokesman also wondered why the
Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has not
"lied" to Nigerians in the past two days.
He wrote: "Abeg, is Kachalla Wole Wole Atiku Abubakar
still contesting this January 16, 2027 presidential election? E reach make
person ask.
"They closed the gate of the Kaaba for the leader, the
child of brass caster. It is called grace.
"For two days, Peter Obi has not lied, what
happened?"
This comes as Atiku's aides have been attacking President
Bola Tinubu over his spiritual pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia.
As part of his spiritual pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia, Tinubu
was granted the rare privilege of entering the Holy Kaaba to pray and perform
Umrah.
This had led to mixed reactions from some Nigerians who
claimed that Tinubu is the first Nigerian president to enter the Kaaba.
But Atiku's spokesman, Phrank Shaibu claimed that the former
vice president financially bankrolled Tinubu's first-ever trip to Saudi Arabia
for Umrah.
