Adebayo Ridwan, the Nigerian skit maker better known as Isbae U, has invited billionaire businessman Aliko Dangote to appear on his show ‘Curiosity Made Me Ask’.
The comedian extended the invitation on Monday while
visiting the Dangote Refinery in Lagos.
According to Isbae U, most of Dangote’s previous interviews
have aired on platforms that young Nigerians do not typically watch.
He argued that his generation represents a key audience for
the businessman’s ventures.
“Most of the interviews we’ve seen you have been on
platforms that my generation don’t watch,” he said.

…ironically, we are the ones interested in investing in your
company, we want to buy this IPO and give it a platform. I am not saying you
should sack your media team…
“I really think we should have a man with the biggest
refinery on the biggest show on YouTube in the world ‘Curiosity Made Me Ask’.
So the question is when do you think we can have you on the show sir?”
In his response, Dangote emphasised the importance of
engaging younger Nigerians, describing them as the country’s future.
“Honestly, the future that we have is actually you, the
youth. We, our own generation, really, we have not really done very well for
Nigeria and also for Africa. That’s the truth,” he said.
The billionaire stressed the need for older Nigerians to
share their experiences with younger people to help them better understand the
country’s history and development.
“So we need to sit down with some of you and discuss our own
experience with you,” he added.
Dangote also noted that many young Nigerians had limited
knowledge of some of the country’s past political leaders and historical
experiences.
He then accepted the skit maker’s invitation, saying: “So we
need to sit down with some of you and discuss our own experience with you”.
